While I was finishing my 13 days in Mexico City, Max Wright, WR Haiti representative was driving 9 trunks full of blankets, clothes, some toys and household goods to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, all donated and prepared by many generous saints throughout the midwest. The Lord has also channeled tens of thousands of dollars through Max and World Renewal in recent months to help replace some of what was lost by the Gonaives church, the Christ Compassion Orphanage and Luc and Rosanna Joseph during hurricane Ike. I met Max and them in Florida for several days of shopping and preparation for shipping. 
Pastor Luc's brother, Albert purchased this truck, to be repaired and shipped to Haiti full of everything possible to help with the slow process of rebuilding their everyday lives.
Because of their sweet spirits and quick smiles you would never know that these two people had been responsible for saving so many lives and caring for 25 children and a host of adults 24 hours a day, 7 days a week since September 1. After some rest in Florida, they will return at the end of January to these precious ones, who still all live in the mission home with no running water or electricity. It will be some time before life will return to "normal." Luc and Rosanna love and serve their people with great grace and constant, compassionate obedience.
At present, everyone is still sleeping on plywood, but most of the metal frame beds have been recovered. They need to be sanded, painted and some mattresses provided.
Keep praying for Haiti whenever God reminds you. And if He tells you to give time, talent or resources to help, do it! You'll be blessed if you do, and many lives will be effected for eternity!!

World Renewal International could never function as is does without awesome field representatives like Steve Turner (Brazil), Jim Flood (Mexico) and Max Wright. They all gladly sacrifice much time and give bucket loads of love and support to people in each country. God blesses them richly with much spiritual fruit, and deep relationships that will last for eternity.
