She's back...

Julie and fellow Barclay student KK Lawski left for Nepal May 17 to be missionary interns with Evangelical Friends Mission. It was a big step of faith for them and their families - many unknowns and lots to trust God for. They arrived home at 3:00 a.m. (as in the middle of the night!) Saturday, Aug 4. He was faithful to keep them safe (even had them hundreds of miles away when thieves broke into their apartment), use them in miraculous ways, and to teach them more about life as missionary. They were truly blessed, and made to be a blessing. Thanks to all who supported and prayed! We're spoiling Julie (as usual) this week with her favorite things to do and eat. Thursday she travels to Sacramento, CA to see her "special friend" Mark Healton and his family.

Mark and Julie. Handsome couple, don't you think?

Julie and KK eating fresh coconut with their bendis (Nepali makeup accessory on the forehead), fake nose rings and gold/diamond earrings (also common jewelry).

With missionary Bob Adhikary, eating off banana leaves
after preaching the gospel to many Hindus in a local village.

A 5 and 1/2 hour walk one way to villages for preaching during Monsoon season.

Eventhough the current was swift, and large potholes abound,
Julie and KK were taken care of by their newfound Nepali brothers and sisters.

Dressed in traditional garb after a leader's meeting.

Radha, one of many new friends.

The real Mark Healton.

I think we look pretty good for 3:00 a.m!
(and 60 hours of travel with overnight in Bangkok for Julie)
Welcome home, Julie. We love you!
